Marty Osborn (RDH)

At a young age Marty enjoyed science and working with her hands. Her interest in dentistry was an early development; she loved going to the orthodontist when she had braces and looked up to her friend’s mother, who was a dental hygienist. Marty received her AA degree in Dental Assisting at Los Angeles City College and then worked for an orthodontist. She later returned to school to pursue dental hygiene, first taking preparatory classes at Los Angeles Valley College and ultimately graduating from Dental Hygiene School at Northwestern University in Chicago. After graduating in 1973, she moved to Denver, Colorado where she met her husband Jerry. The two were married in 1976 and later moved to Northern California. Marty began working for Dr. John Bonham in 1981 and remained with the practice when Dr. Young took over in 1999. Marty enjoyed serving for eight years as an examiner for the California State Dental Hygiene Boards, and she has also held several different offices in the Mt. Diablo Dental Hygiene Association. Her family includes her husband Jerry and their two dogs Glory (an English Bull Terrier) and Sammy (a black Labrador). They live in Danville. Marty enjoys swimming in her pool in the summer, going to plays and concerts, traveling, and photography.

Amy Reyes (RDH)

Amy is a bay area native who was raised in Concord, California. She graduated from Carondelet High School in 1997. After high school she attended Diablo Valley College where she started her pre-requisite courses for the dental hygiene program. In 2003 she completed the Registered Dental Assisting program at DVC. Immediately after she received her RDA license, Amy was accepted into the DVC Dental Hygiene program. Throughout the two year program, she worked as an oral surgery assistant in Walnut Creek. She came to work as a hygienist for Dr. Young in 2006 after replying to an ad. After discovering her very close ties to the San Francisco Fire Department, Dr. Young had no choice but to hire her! Amy lives in Pleasant Hill with her boyfriend Clayton and their two dogs Riley (a yellow lab) and Kira (a Siberian husky). In her free time she enjoys traveling, hiking, snow boarding, boating in the delta, and spending time with family & friends.

Nicole Nealon (RDH)

Nicole was born and raised in the Walnut Creek area. After attending Carondelet High School, she completed her Bachelors of Science at the University of San Francisco.  Upon graduation she grabbed the local newspaper and responded to an advertisement for an administrative assistant in a dental office.  This would be the start of a career taking her from front office manager to lead dental assistant and ultimately to pursue dental hygiene. She moved with her husband to Boston to train at the Forsyth Institute, the oldest accredited dental hygiene training program in the country. Nicole loved the food in Boston, but struggled to bundle up in the cold! She was happy to return to California, back to her family and her best friend, her sister’s dog, SASHA! Nicole loves dental hygiene because she loves the interaction with the patients and thrives on her role as an oral health care provider.  She started working for Dr. Young in December 2008.  Since starting work she has grown to enjoy listening to The Coffee House station on XM and of course the 80's on 8.  Outside of work her interests include traveling, hiking, spending time with SASHA, running, and trying new restaurants.

She loves working in the field of dentistry; she finds it very rewarding and quite exciting. When Ashley is not assisting at the dental office you can find her reading a good book or shopping with friends. She is also having fun making wedding plans after her recent February 2009 engagement. Ashley loves working in the fun, professional environment that is Gregory Young’s Dental Practice and she is looking forward to the years to come.
